In the third quarter of 2024, the travel and local apps sector in the Dominican Republic showcased varied trends across the top-performing applications on the Android platform. Data from Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at these apps, highlighting significant patterns in downloads and active users.

Airbnb observed fluctuating weekly downloads, starting at around 5.1K in early July and dipping to 2.3K by mid-August, before climbing back to approximately 4.1K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users peaked at about 72.3K in early September, following a decline to 60.7K in mid-August.

Marriott Bonvoy: Book Hotels experienced a modest weekly download range, starting at 1.8K in early July and decreasing to 568 by the end of September. Active users, however, peaked at 8.8K in early September, before settling at around 7.5K by the end of the quarter.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel showed consistent weekly download figures, beginning with 1.6K in early July and ending with 1.7K in late September. Active user numbers increased steadily from 29.7K at the start of the quarter to 31.4K by its conclusion.

SAWASDEE by AOT recorded a dramatic increase in weekly downloads from just 17 in mid-July to 2.5K in early September. The app's active users mirrored this trend, growing from 91 in early July to 2.8K by late September.

Google Earth maintained stable download levels, beginning with 1.3K downloads in the first week of July and ending with 1.4K in the last week of September. Meanwhile, active users saw a slight increase from 10.2K to 10.9K over the same period.
